MELBOURNE, August 2 AAP - Conditions on Victoria's ski fields today:
FALLS CREEK - Lifts: 15/15. Excellent skiing on an excellent cover of fresh snow. Overnight
temp: minus 3.3 deg. Road: open, fitting chains to two-wheel drives. Snow depth: 140cm.
MT HOTHAM - Lifts: 12/13. Excellent skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of fresh
snow. Overnight temp: minus 3.8 deg. Road: open, fitting chains to two-wheel drives. Snow
depth: 158cm.
MT BULLER - Lifts: 25/25. Very good skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of fresh
snow, softening later. Overnight temp: minus 1.5 deg. Road: open and clear. Snow depth:
114cm.
LAKE MOUNTAIN - Good cross-country skiing on a good cover of soft snow on the upper
trails. Overnight temp: 1.2 deg. Road: open and clear. Snow depth: 25cm.
MT BAW BAW - Lifts: 7/7. Very good skiing and boarding on a very good cover of firm
snow, softening during the day. Overnight temp: minus 0.2 deg. Road: open and clear. Snow
depth: 58cm.
MT BUFFALO - Lifts: 4/4. Very good skiing and boarding on an excellent cover of packed
snow, softening later in the day. Overnight temp: not available. Road: open and clear.
Snow depth: 45cm.
DINNER PLAIN - Lifts: 1/1. Very good skiing on an excellent cover of fresh snow. Road:
open, fitting chains to two-wheel drives. Snow depth: 70cm.
MT STIRLING - Very good skiing on a very good to excellent cover of firm snow on the
upper trails, good to very good cover of snow on the lower trails. Road: open and clear.
Snow depth: 59cm.
MT ST GWINEAR - Very good cross-country skiing on all trails. Snow depth: 68cm. Road:
open and clear.
MT DONNA BUANG - No snow.
