Fed: One Nation Senator refuses to comment on Hanson
CANBERRA, Aug 20 AAP - One Nation's only federal parliamentarian, Senator Len Harris,refused to comment on party founder Pauline Hanson's conviction today.
Ms Hanson and party co-founder David Ettridge were jailed for three years each afterbeing found guilty of fraud charges by a Brisbane District Court jury.
"There's absolutely no comment on Pauline's court case," Senator Harris's spokeswoman said.
The party was called Pauline Hanson's One Nation when Mr Harris was declared Senatorfor Queensland in 1999 following a High Court wrangle.
It reverted to its original name One Nation in January last year after Ms Hanson dissociatedherself from the party before her unsuccessful bid for the NSW Legislative Council.
