Democratic gubernatorial candidate Peter Vallone said Wednesday he stands firmly behind Bill Clinton and trusts the word of the President.
On the day after winning the Democratic primary, Vallone said the public should separate Clinton's private conduct and public behavior. Vallone added he intends to take up the President and Vice President Al Gore on their offers to assist his campaign.
