Salvador Cambanas scored a late goal as Mexican team America rallied to beat San Martin of Peru 3-1 and take a share of the Group 5 lead in the Copa Libertadores.
San Martin started strongly, nearly scoring in the fifth minute before Roberto Silva claimed the first goal a minute later in front of about 25,000 fans at Mexico City's Azteca stadium.
America, which has suffered five consecutive defeats in the Mexican Clausura, started lethargically.
Daniel Marquez breathed life into the Aguilas' game when he tied the score in the 39th minute. Rodrigo Inigo gave America the lead in the 47th, and Cambanas made the game's final goal in the 70th.
With the win, America now shares the Group 5 lead on six points with Argentina's River Plate. San Martin has three points _ the same number as Chile's Colo Colo.
