Gov. Mario M. Cuomo doesn't like the Air Force using the skies over the Adirondack Park for low-level training flights, but he said Thursday that he doubts he can do much about it.
"I would prefer they didn't do it, let's be honest," Cuomo said of the Air Force's recently announced plans to fly fighter and bomber aircraft over parts of the park.
The Air Force plans include flying B-52s, FB-111s and F-15E Strike Eagles at altitudes as low as 200 feet and speeds as high as 700 mph.
