Fed: Tears and anger as residents inspect fire damage

CANBERRA, Jan 19 AAP - Canberra residents were returning to what was left of theirhomes today after the worst fires in the city's history.
Families stood outside their destroyed homes, looking through the burnt-out remainsfor anything that may have survived.
Home after home in the streets of suburban Duffy and Chapman were laid waste by yesterday'sfires.
In Percy Crescent, Chapman, which overlooks a string of horse paddocks down to theMurrumbidgee river, 10 homes in a row were destroyed.
