Focusing on women fighting addictions; Grant will build housing to also treat the children of female clients.(Capital Region)

ALBANY - An agency with a long track record of treating men with substance abuse problems just received the last chunk of money it needs to build a campus for women.

The Addictions Care Center of Albany was awarded $2 million by the state to build a 22-bed transitional housing facility for women recovering from substance abuse addictions. The grant helped the center reach its $6 million goal to build two facilities for women with addictions and their children.
